Former Abortionists Speak

How does the abortion industry shape language and conscience over time? How does moral relativism make the unthinkable feel routine? Why is abortion often driven by fear, shame, and a sense of unwantedness?

Two practicing OBGYNs once saw abortion as normal medicine. Then something happened that neither training nor politics could explain away and it changed everything. This week we talk with Dr. Catherine Wheeler and Dr. John Bruchalski about the moments that shattered the “fog,” the cost of facing what they had done, what truth plus grace looks like for healing and action, and why they now speak publicly for life.

AAPLOG – American Association of Pro-Life OB/GYNs

We aim to make known the evidence-based effects of abortion on women as well as the scientific fact that human life begins at the moment of fertilization, with the goal that all women, regardless of race, creed or national origin, will be empowered to make healthy and life-affirming choices. AAPLOG’s organizational vision is to be the pre-eminent medical voice that informs the medical community, policy makers and the public on the importance of declining to use death as a therapeutic option, which respects the dignity of all human life and prohibits the taking of a life by a medical practitioner, including the lives of pre-born children.

TWO PATIENTS – My Conversion from Abortion to Life-Affirming Medicine

Two Patients is the story of how a physician who practiced abortion came to question the medical status quo and to pioneer an approach to reproductive medicine that respects female fertility, honors the dignity of unborn children, and offers care to patients regardless of their financial situation. Such health care, writes Dr. John Bruchalski, is merciful medicine, and his memoir gives a glimpse of just how merciful the relationship between a doctor and his two patients — mother and child — can be.

When Planted Seeds Grow in the Heart of Abortionists

Experience has taught me to look at these purveyors of death in an added light.

We don’t have to harbor warm and fuzzing feelings toward those who take the lives of babies, but we can see them as potential ambassadors for the unborn and their parents.

The Lies of Pro-Abortion Advocacy

The Rev. Rebecca Todd Peters is on a mission to get churches to talk more about abortion. Her neon pick stole depicting Planned Parenthood’s logo is a giveaway.

While this ordained Presbyterian minister gets an A for tenacity, Peters lacks truth when she opines on abortion, “Abortion is a moral good. Abortion is an act of love. Abortion is an act of grace. Abortion is a blessing.”

A pastor should be able to grasp the obvious reality that the deliberate and violent killing of defenseless preborn children is none of those things.

Our Struggle with Indifference

We face opposition in this battle for life. On one side, you and I stand passionately for life, and on the other are those who vehemently advocate for abortion. But if we focus solely on this head-to-head confrontation of “pro-life versus pro-abortion,” there’s a large segment of society that remains overlooked—those who don’t identify with either side. Unfortunately, one of the challenges we have to address is indifference.
