God Helps Moms Who Suffer Miscarriage

A newly published study from Italy shows women who’ve had an abortion are more than twice as likely to die by suicide compared with women who gave birth. These findings are similar to studies in Finland and the United States. But something from the Italy study stunned me. The rate of women who died by suicide after suffering a miscarriage was appallingly high also.

New Test for Miscarriage
Here’s encouraging news for mothers and fathers who’ve experienced miscarriage. A new test, appropriately called STORK, was developed by a research team from Columbia University and backed by the National Institutes of Health. It assesses the risk of miscarriage for an existing pregnancy. It’s relatively inexpensive and provides same-day results.
