This morning the United States Supreme Court issued a landmark decision. In Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, the court sided with South Carolina allowing the state to no longer fund Planned Parenthood and other abortion giants through their Medicaid program.

The 6-3 decision, authored by Justice Gorsuch, is a crushing blow to the abortion industry, clearing the path for states across the nation to reclaim the use of taxpayer money and end the forced funding of the abortion industry.

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster celebrated, “Seven years ago, we took a stand to protect the sanctity of life and defend South Carolina’s authority and values – and today, we are finally victorious.”

Brad Mattes, President of Life Issues Institute, responded to the news, saying, FINALLY. States have a right to not be part of the abortion industry and taxpayers can’t be forced to fund Big Abortion. States must now move quickly to exclude Planned Parenthood from Medicaid reimbursement.”

Life Issues Institute celebrates this victory for life as we continue to share pro-life education and equip states to defend life.

We are pro-life leaders from around the world who aim, through political, social, educational and cultural initiatives, to help people and build campaigns in every nation to protect, defend and uphold the dignity of human life from conception until natural death.
