Debunking the Myth of Overpopulation
It has been claimed many times that our planet is facing an existential crisis of overpopulation. This narrative has been used by pro-abortion advocates as a moral justification for abortion. It is said that there are simply too many people, and our planet is soon to reach a breaking point.
As is often the case, the pro-abortion advocates are not telling the truth. Our planet is not facing an existential crisis of overpopulation. In fact, the western world is soon to face a crisis of severe underpopulation.
Life Issues Institute has gathered information from around the world and compiled it into an easy to use, interactive map that shows the truth. This powerful new resource debunks the myth of overpopulation. Around the world countries are below replacement rate and struggling to reverse the trend. Displayed on our map are the fertility rates and population growth rates for each country, as well as what steps that country has taken to increase their fertility rates.
While abortion cannot be said to be the only reason that the western world has fertility rates below replacement, one thing can be said for certain. Killing our children is not solving an existential crisis, it is instead contributing to one.
