An estimated 66 million unborn children have been killed by abortion in America since Roe v. Wade. On September 12, pro-life Americans will gather across the country for the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, holding prayer vigils and remembering those whose lives were taken.

That remembrance matters because these children are more than a statistic. Each one was a unique human being, with a mother and father, a distinct DNA, and an entire life ahead of them.

We rightly remember victims of violence because their lives mattered. We should remember abortion’s victims for the same reason.

And this isn’t just about mourning the past. It’s about changing the future. We must remember these children, support women and families, and continue working toward a day when every child is protected by law and welcomed in life.
