A left-wing veterans group is suing the Trump administration after the Department of Veterans Affairs reinstated restrictions on taxpayer-funded abortions. Under the Biden administration, the VA had begun providing abortions in cases of rape, incest, or claimed health concerns. The Trump administration reversed that policy, arguing federal law does not authorize the VA to fund or perform abortions.
Make no mistake, our nation’s veterans are heroes. They deserve excellent medical care, support and the gratitude of the nation. But intentionally ending the life of an innocent child is not healthcare. Honoring their service to our nation does not require taxpayer funding of their abortions.
And taxpayers should never be forced to fund abortion.
