84-year-old Miriam Lancaster went to the emergency room due to back pain. To her shock she was promptly offered the opportunity to die via so-called Medical Assistance in Dying, Canada’s euthanasia program!

She had no interest in dying, she had gone to the emergency rooming hoping to receive treatment. It would later be revealed that she had a fractured pelvis, and there was no conceivable reason for her to be euthanized.

Not only did she recover, but she was able to resume the activities she loves and traveled to Cuba, Guatemala, and Mexico.

Unfortunately, this case is not an isolated example in Canada. Many people have been ushered to their death by an overzealous healthcare system. As assisted suicide and euthanasia legislation expands around the world, we must stand for the sanctity of human life in all cases.
