A brain injured mother was kept on life support until her unborn baby boy could live. His birth generated comments that should never come from a human mind. Three women were concerned about the life-affirming precedent it would set. One posted, “I might be a monster for saying this, but I don’t want that child to live.” I agree with the first part of what she wrote. Another posted, “People [are] framing the survival of Adriana Smith’s baby as a miracle when it’s actually one of the worst outcomes.” The third wrote, “I still hope the baby doesn’t survive more than another day or two. It really is the absolute WORST thing that can happen.” Their stone cold hearts show just how badly they need Jesus to show them the miracle of life. Let’s pray for them.
