Feed Them the Bread of Life

For years mainline Protestant denominations have hemorrhaged members.  In less than a decade the United Methodist Church lost a third of its workforce.  In part it’s because of their unscriptural stand on cultural issues, like abortion.  How do they get these lost sheep back?  Episcopalian Bishop Sean Rowe said, “It’s paying attention to what is new and working, and lifting that up.”  What dribble!  These churches must preach the law and gospel in its truth and purity.  Americans are hungry for Jesus, not a passing fad.  They can get that at a singles bar.  They need to hear from the pulpit that abortion kills an innocent baby.  They need to hear the blood of Jesus covers the sin of abortion, that there’s hope and healing.  Feed them the Bread of Life and they’ll come.
