Like you, I watched with almost unbelieving eyes as the carnage unfolded in Southern California. The growing number of lost lives and unprecedented loss of property is difficult to process. But even a disaster of this magnitude still applies to Romans eight, twenty-eight. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” There’s a God-ordained purpose in those ashes and broken lives. While in the pro-life movement I’ve witnessed more times than I can count where God delivered blessings out of the ashes of lives. For example, past abortions have produced a desire and passion for the Lord of Life. Pray with me that this disaster will draw many souls to their loving heavenly Father.
