Better Prepared Against Fraud

There was widespread corruption with Florida’s pro-abortion petition initiative last year.  So, Governor Ron DeSantis is pushing for special legislation to make it harder for out-of-state cheaters to commit fraud and turn Florida into an abortion haven.  He wants to eliminate third-party collection of petition signatures and protect the integrity of legit signers.  He also wants to give the Secretary of State authority to decertify an initiative because of corruption.  DeSantis also wants to give any citizen the right to challenge certification.  And require specific definitions on the ballot so voters will clearly know the intent and impact of a proposed constitutional amendment.  Pro-abortion activists are already gearing up for another petition and we need to be better prepared against fraud.
