Old Habits Are Hard to Break

It shocked everyone.  The liberal Washington Post didn’t endorse the Democrat presidential candidate like always.  A third of the writers were livid and threatened to quit.  But they didn’t.  The paper’s owner, Amazon founder and savvy businessman Jeff Bezos didn’t flinch.  He told managers of the paper he aims to get more readers by hiring conservative writers.  The paper is irrelevant to half its potential readers.  A recent poll shows over two-thirds of people think the media is untrustworthy.  Their popularity is lower than congresses.’  Bezos said “Most people believe the media is biased.  Those who fight reality lose.  Reality is an undefeated champion.”  Can mainstream media really do this?  A victory would instruct others, but I’ll believe it when I see it.  Old habits are hard to break.
