While speaking at a recent seminar, ultra-liberal MSNBC host, Joy Reid, directed the term “fascist” toward her political opponents, presumably conservative Americans. People who use this term often equate it with things they don’t like, without even attempting to be educated on the matter. This intensifying form of persecution of Christians is easier to ignore than others. For example, the Department of Justice is throwing peaceful pro-lifers in jail for opposing abortion while hundreds of attackers on churches and pregnancy centers remain free. Paul wrote in first Thessalonians three, seven, “Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.” May God grant us the grace to also be an encouragement to others.
