It Could Happen Here

Sheila Gunn Reid, an investigative reporter in Canada uncovered a scandal within Veterans Affairs Canada that disgraced the nation.  Nearly a dozen Canadian vets were suffering from severe post-traumatic stress disorder.  These soldiers who put their lives on the line for their country asked their caseworkers for help.  But instead, they were offered euthanasia.  At first Veterans Affairs officials claimed it was only one rogue case worker who was responsible.  Until other veterans came forward and they were caught trying to hide a paper trail of evidence.  The bureaucrats tried other ways to keep the truth from coming out like only providing verbal updates because they didn’t leave a paper trail.  This could happen to our veterans in America where states legalized assisted suicide.
