The Meaning of Infanticide

As the presidential election heats up there may be issues that need explaining.  For example, Donald Trump accused Minnesota Governor Tim Walz of infanticide.  What candidates mean by this is their opponents oppose appropriate medical care to “preserve the life and health” of babies who survive late-term abortions Virginia’s former  governor famously described how the abortionist will meet with the parents of the live baby and decide whether or not medical care will be given.  If not, the baby is often left in a soiled linen closet to gasp for air until he or she dies.  There have been reports of abortionists drowning children who survive or using instruments in a lethal fashion against the babies.  As governor, Walz signed legislation stripping protections from these babies.
