Today is National Disability Independence Day.  It celebrates the signing of the Americans with Disability Act over three decades ago.  The law protects those with disabilities from discrimination and assures them to be full participants in the community.  But the Americans with Disability Act neglects one segment of society that needs these protections more than anyone else.  Most of America’s unborn babies are denied the right to life by abortion simply because of their disabilities.  Without life there is no right to employment, services from state and local governments, or transportation.  The Americans with Disability Act was a game changer for countless individuals, but it needs to accommodate all Americans with disabilities, including the unborn.
