Researchers found many patients who were taken off life support after a traumatic brain injury may have lived if given more time. They compared patients with similar conditions between those taken off life support and those with continued treatment. Here’s the shocker. Over forty percent of the patients would have likely survived and enjoyed some form of independence. They also shot down as “unlikely” the theory patients would remain in what they call a “vegetative state” after six months. Just like unborn babies with conditions, doctors think they’re medical deity and claim patients will “never walk, talk, work or have a meaningful relationship.” Yet, the researchers say, they “made a remarkable recovery.” So, let God be God with challenges on both ends of life spectrums.
