It may seem odd that today is called Good Friday because we observe the horrific crucifixion and death of our Lord and Savior. And that’s just it. Jesus became our savior by paying the price for our sins on that retched cross. As a result, we join Jesus in eternity. Good is too small of a word to use for this day! If you think a sin in your past, such as abortion, is too big for the cross, remember Jesus said, “It is finished.” He didn’t just die for what we call the little sins. You can’t tell Jesus he wasn’t powerful enough to take all your sins away. The blood of the cross covers all sins. So today rest in the sweet comfort that Jesus paid the price for all our sins. That makes this a Good Friday.
