I can tell you from forty-eight years working in the pro-life movement that raising money is one of the hardest parts of the job. Since we don’t have a fairy godmother to wave her magic wand, we roll up our sleeves and go to work. Pro-lifers in Kentucky came up with a fun way to raise funds for pregnancy centers throughout the state. Laura and Jeff Smith founded Bluegrass on Lake Beshear, a one-day event where local artists are invited to perform. This past fall they raised forty-two thousand dollars, then the local Knights of Columbus gave eight grand to make the total fifty thousand dollars! This comes when the community is rebuilding after a devastating tornado just a couple years ago. Plus, inflation has taken its toll. God bless these wonderful folks.
