An abortion case has been playing out in an effort to undermine prolife laws in Texas. Kate Cox’s baby is twenty weeks old and diagnosed with Trisomy eighteen, a condition normally not compatible with life. However, some babies do survive this condition. Judge Maya Gamble granted a temporary restraining order that would allow an abortion even though it violates Texas law, the Texas Supreme Court blocked that ruling. Before the Supreme Court’s ruling, the state attorney general put abortion centers and hospitals on notice that if they perform the abortion they’ll likely be charged with a first-degree felony. An attorney for Mrs. Cox was hoping this would provide a way for women to circumvent the laws protecting preborn children in Texas. Please pray for the baby and the parents.
