Fathers Make a Difference

A nail-biting drama unfolded in front of a Bloomington, Indiana abortion facility recently.  The mother of a young pregnant woman did all she could do to dissuade her daughter from getting an abortion.  Offers of help from pro-life sidewalk counselors were also rejected, and she went inside.  So, the volunteers outside prayed more earnestly.  I’ve often said prayer is worth more than gold, and what unfolded demonstrated it is!  The baby’s father phoned the young mother, crying and begging her not to kill their unborn child.  It worked.  The baby was saved, and the parents spared from the anguish of a devastating decision.  Studies show the fathers have considerable sway with women contemplating abortion.  We need more dads to engage on behalf of their babies.
