Church Shows no Mercy

Tiffany fell in love with a young man whose parents pastored a church. When she became pregnant, her fiancé pressured her to abort the baby because of the resulting embarrassment to him and his parents.  So, she made an appointment with Planned Parenthood. But in the parking lot, Tiffany said she heard God saying, “Do not do it, I’ll be here.”  The young man was angry she changed her mind, and Tiffany received shame and condemnation from his parents. The engagement was broken off and she was told not come to their church anymore. But the son who was equally guilty of this sin apparently got off scot-free.  Sadly, there are still double standards when it comes to inappropriate intimacy.  The church banished Tiffany for her sin instead of showing mercy.
