Volunteer Pro-Lifer Shot in the Back

Bradley Mattes   |   October 10, 2022

Michigan has proposed an amendment to its constitution that would expand abortion in the state.  As a result, scores of pro-life volunteers are going door-to-door, offering brochures explaining Proposal Three.  One of those volunteers was Joan Jacobson, an 84-year-old retired nurse who was shot in the back as she left a residence.  The assault followed aggressive hostility on the part of the owner Sharon Harvey.  The assailant is her husband, Richard Harvey who admitted to the crime but claimed it was an accident, yet offered no help to the victim after the shooting.  Joan is recovering at home.  To add tragedy to tragedy, it took 10 days for police to make an arrest!  Harvey is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, which is a felony, as well as lesser charges.
