Victory at Last!

IT HAS FINALLY HAPPENED! Roe v Wade has been overturned!

At long last Roe has been relegated to the ash heap of history where it belongs. The horrors abortion has inflicted upon our nation are incalculable. Roe will ultimately be regarded as one of the most unjust and inhumane Supreme Court rulings in our nation’s history.

The bloody edict of abortion on demand throughout pregnancy was imposed on all 50 states by seven unelected US Supreme Court justices in a 7-2 1973 decision. By decree, states were rendered powerless to defend their most treasured natural resource – preborn babies.

What does the demise of Roe mean for America and where do we go from here?

Roe’s reversal dramatically changes the landscape of abortion law in America.

Some of my colleagues and I have worked toward this goal for decades, in my case 46 years, and it feels somewhat surreal that it, at long last, has happened. But this isn’t about us, it’s about the babies and their mothers, fathers, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other extended family and friends.

It’s about our nation that is a great deal poorer because more than 63,700,000 of her citizens are missing from society. Individuals who by God’s design would have contributed to this great country regardless of the circumstances of their conceptions.

Abortion is a cancer. It maims, devastates, or kills everything and everyone in its path. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, Republican or Democrat, religious or atheist, abortion’s victims have represented all categories of society.

In addition to ending the life of the baby, unrestrained abortion has created a segment of society that suffers from abortion trauma. They daily struggle with the loss of their babies to abortion. Mothers and fathers who were often deceived by the abortion industry about the humanity of their children in order to keep the cash cow of abortion lining their pockets with blood money.

Contrary to the belief of many Americans, Roe’s demise does not automatically end abortion throughout the United States. It simply returns authority to duly elected state legislatures to pass protective common-sense legislation that is supported by the majority of the state’s citizens.

For example, fathers were relegated to the sidelines, helpless to protect their unborn babies. States are now free to establish rights for fathers concerning the life-or-death decision of their children.

We have reason for much optimism in a post-Roe America, contrary to the shrill voices of the radical Left channeling Chicken Little and declaring that the sky is falling. They claim that thousands of women will die without access to abortion.

Quite the opposite. Women and their babies will thrive without abortion. Poland passed legislation ending most abortions and women’s health improved in all monitored categories. Croatia experienced similar improvements in women’s health.

The battlelines over abortion have now shifted to individual states, which gives us hope for the future. The pro-life movement’s strength lies in its grassroots abilities. With the “termination” of Roe, approximately 21states already protect or significantly defend their preborn children.  Nine more are expected to join that category after efforts to pass pro-life legislation.

Now more than ever, our pro-life advancements are crucial to saving babies and protecting their mothers. Our victories will not be undermined by unelected justices on the nation’s highest court. Passing pro-life legislation will have an immediate effect on saving lives!

Pro-life education is the foundation on which we build legislative and political victories. Life Issues Institute will move forward with strategically targeted educational efforts in states where we can have the biggest impact. And we need your support to save many more lives. Please prayerfully consider how you might be able to assist our life-saving efforts with a donation.

We celebrate that the brutality against America’s unborn babies can end in many states.  Millions of innocent children will be saved from the violent and hideous act of abortion while their parents are spared the devastating emotional aftermath that often follows.

We rejoice and give glory to God!

  1. I am so happy to hear that Roe vs Wade was overturned.. Its devastating all the innocent babies that were murdered during this time.

  2. Praising God with you, my friend. And praising God for you as well in all these years of helpful information. You’ve kept the trench fighters equipped with life-saving facts to spread hope for victory. With malice toward none and charity toward all, may life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness move more hearts to treasure God’s gift of life.

  3. Brad, I’m thinking today of Dr and Mrs Willke.I know they sare smiling in heaven. Thanks for your untiring efforts over 46 years.

  4. Brad, Thank you so much for your devotion to the pro-life movement. I was surprised as to how emotional I was when I heard the news this morning. This is truly a day for rejoicing and praising our God.

  5. Thankful for this decision. People must be responsible for their actions. Think of the consequences before you carelessly have sex. Unfortunately, Abortion has become a method of birth control. Praying that Adoption over abortion will fill the hearts and minds of women having to make this lifelong decision.

  6. Thankful for this decision. So very thankful and blessed that the birth mothers to our three adopted babies chose life.

  7. Your video on youtube made me cry. Just a wonderful take on the fetus and life. Keep up the great message. God Bless.

  8. To Brad and so many wonderful tireless workers for life in the USA, you have achieved what many thought would never happen. As the leader in the free world for many other countries, the RvW decision was used to justify abortion in Australia, and sadly all states here have gone the way to allow even late-term abortion. Even though our system of government is very different, we take hope in your result and we are also praying for those who are being threatened by an onslaught of violence in the wake of this historic event.

  9. My son and I were picketing abortion outside a NJ hospital late in 1972. When Roe v Wade came down in Jan 1973 we could not believe that abortion became the “law of the land” When we realized it was real we began to work in earnest wherever we could to stem this evil. While this is a win not a victory it does make our efforts more productive. As long as there are people of faith and intellectually honest hope exists for a return to a respect for life.
