A grandmother is being called a hero for saving the life of her granddaughter. At just 24 weeks Katie Dolan went into unexpected premature labor. Her mother, Joanne delivered the baby who was born breech. Twice Joanne had to give CPR to the newborn. Once the paramedics arrived, they had to work hard to stabilize the very premature infant who weighed in at just one-and-a-half pounds. Doctors at the hospital said they’d never seen a baby this small be born at home and survive. Joanne said, “I didn’t have time to think.” But God placed her in the right place at the most crucial time. And He gave her the wherewithal to save her grandchild. The baby will likely spend several weeks in the hospital until she’s able to join mother and grandmother at home.
