Arizona’s pro-life Governor Doug Ducey signed legislation last year to protect unborn babies from abortion who were diagnosed with a medical disability such as Down syndrome or cystic fibrosis. It’s very noble legislation that would protect the state’s most vulnerable citizens from discriminatory, eugenics abortions. But of course, the ACLU and another extreme pro-abortion organization sued to stop the bill. And twenty-three pro-abortion attorneys general have filed an amicus brief, asking the Nineth Circuit Court of Appeals to uphold a lower court’s action to block it. Just think about this for a moment. Twenty-three states have gone on record supporting the intentional killing of babies with disabilities. These states will someday realize they’re standing on the wrong side of history and compassion.
