November is National Adoption Month and Brittany Berri is a model example promoting adoption. She and Branden adopted a child, a costly endeavor, so a family member helped them financially. This motivated Brittany to start a second-hand store in DeWitt, Iowa called The Adopted Closet. Proceeds help families pay what can be an overwhelming amount of money to adopt a child. Once the community got wind of the store, she has received loads, and I do mean loads of merchandise to sell. Plus, she supplements her inventory by shopping. Britney says, “Guys get excited about a touchdown, I get excited about garage sales.” It’s fun to see God plant seeds of passion to further His work. If you’re in the area of DeWitt, Iowa, drop in to purchase or donate stock.
