Pro-abortion politicians warned the Texas law ending abortion when the baby’s heartbeat can be detected would cause such public outrage, pro-life Republicans would pay at the ballot box. It doesn’t look that way. Another poll shows a majority of Texans support the Heartbeat Act. A majority of women, men, and independents support the legislation. So do a majority of Latinos and Whites. About a quarter of the respondents think there should be exceptions for rape and incest, but a vast majority of them support the law even though they’re not included. A similar poll in Missouri shows support for Heartbeat legislation there. Early reports indicate the number of abortions in Texas has been cut in half, with expectations even more babies will be spared in the coming months. Praise God!
