Feminists in Argentina successfully lobbied to legalize abortion and now it’s cost the life of one of them. Maria Lopez, president of Radical Youth, became pregnant and took the chemical abortion pill. Within days she was dead. The hospital diagnosed her with sepsis hours before she died, and it happened within a few months of legalizing abortion in Argentina. What’s telling is Maria’s fellow feminists have been silent in the wake of her passing because it was due to a legal abortion. A pro-life advocate said if Maria’s death had been linked to an illegal abortion, “Feminists would be tearing the whole city apart.” Maria’s tragic death underscores the dangers of the chemical abortion pill. This evidence mounts as President Biden removes safety requirements for women here.
