Pro-life Governor Tate Reeves of Mississippi signed unprecedented and much-needed legislation. It’s known as Hudson’s Law, named after two-year-old Hudson Hartman who has Down syndrome. The new law which passed with wide bipartisan support requires doctors to provide accurate and up-to-date educational information to parents of children newly diagnosed with Down syndrome. This law is hugely important because two-thirds of parents opt for abortion after they receive such a diagnosis. The medical community is the epicenter of misinformation and pressure on parents to choose abortion. The reality is babies with Down syndrome are a blessing to families and friends. I pray this law will be passed in every state to protect God’s special creations.
