On behalf of the Women’s Alliance Against Violence, a class action lawsuit was filed against New York’s Reproductive Health Act, an extreme pro-abortion law. Their attorneys say the law violates the rights of both women and unborn children. It includes a new definition of “person” which excludes a baby anytime during pregnancy, impacting over 200 years of criminal law. Assailants who kill a baby anytime during pregnancy can’t be charged for the child’s death, stripping a woman or her family the right to seek justice. The law vaguely defines and protects an abortionist who may be unqualified, leaving women and their babies unprotected. In an attempt to advance feminism, it ignores law that escalates violence against women in the name of “choice.”
