The Governor of Oklahoma signed a wrongful death bill into law. The pro-life legislation allows women or their families to sue an abortionist who fails to inform the woman of abortion’s risks, fails to follow informed consent requirements, or fails to protect a woman from being coerced into having an abortion. The local Planned Parenthood spokesperson claimed, “Coercion is not something that is happening in abortion care.” This isn’t true, and I’m confident they know it. The Charlotte Lozier Institute points to a study showing up to 64% of women who had an abortion reported feeling pressured to do so. Instinctively, women are repulsed by the idea of killing their own babies. It usually takes outside pressure to persuade them to do it.
