Pro-abortion activists use semantics to sell abortion. Semantics is the use of nice sounding words to hide the true meaning. For example, they use “medication abortion” for chemical abortion pill because the word “medication” sounds positive and nurturing. Recently some activists announced they wouldn’t refer to “surgical” abortion as such. It’s now called a “procedural” abortion, which sounds less invasive, particularly they say during the pandemic when they’re fighting to keep elective abortions accessible. That’s another no-no. The word “elective” is out because it sounds less urgent. Another word no longer used is pregnant “woman.” Now, it’s pregnant “person” because some of those having abortions don’t identify as women.
