Not long ago it was difficult to get political candidates to talk about abortion. This year is different. Abortion’s proving to be a central issue in the Kentucky governor’s race. Governor Matt Bevin is being challenged by State Attorney General Andy Beshear. Governor Bevin recently accused Beshear of being bought by the abortion industry. Four days after the owners of the Louisville abortion center maxed out to Beshear’s campaign, the Attorney General took his name off of defending pro-life legislation. The Governor declared, “This is blood money, straight up.” The Attorney General responded that the laws are unconstitutional. I expect we’ll be hearing more about the abortion issue from these candidates who take opposing views.
