Tiniest Boy in the World

Bradley Mattes   |   March 12, 2019

A world record has been set by the tiniest baby boy ever born and still survived.  The little guy weighed less than ten ounces, slightly more than a grapefruit.  It’s hard to imagine a human so little.  He was born in Tokyo, Japan by emergency c-section at twenty-four weeks.  After a five-month hospital stay, he went home without oxygen or any health issues.  When it comes to very early preemies, the survival rate for boys is much lower than girls.  This tiny miracle was making headlines about the same time the Senate failed to advance a bill to provide medical care for babies his age who survive a failed abortion.  What a difference it makes when compassion and love accompany a tiny child’s desperate need to live.
