The people of Toledo, Ohio have bestowed “personhood” rights on Lake Erie while legal abortion continues to target and kill the city’s unborn babies. Environmentalists petitioned for, and won, a special election to grant special rights to the lake due to pollutants. Activist, Tish O’Dell said, “We believe the lake has the right to life, just like people have the right to life.” Unless it’s the human babies in the womb. Special rights for nature are dangerous. Environmentalists already say abortion is needed to protect the environment. It’s not a big step from a so-called bill of rights for lakes, rivers and parks, to mandate limited births and forced abortion if the radical Left declare humanity to be a blight on nature. A court challenge is in the works.
