[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The mainstream media routinely mock sex education programs that are abstinence-based. Recently they hailed a study of over one-hundred sex ed programs, but a closer look shows sixty-percent weren’t effective. Of the remaining programs, the only thing requiring success, according to the study, was they had to have at least some positive impact. This isn’t success. In contrast, a study of over six-hundred black students found those who received abstinence-only sex ed were significantly less likely to engage in sexual activity compared with those who received a safe sex or general health education. Parents, regardless of what the media says, abstinence sex ed, saving sex for marriage, is effective. And your children’s best source for this knowledge is you.
