The Breast Cancer Prevention Institute did a meta-analysis, studying whether abortion was an independent risk factor for breast cancer. Published in Issues in Law and Medicine, it looked at twenty similar studies ~ most of them from India ~ and found a more than double ~ one-and-a-half-times greater risk of breast cancer following an induced abortion. Global research, dating back to the fifties, has demonstrated a higher risk factor. This latest study adds to the growing body of evidence.
