Mother’s Day 2017

Mother’s Day is upon us. We know this mostly because of all the merchants selling their wares — as if jewelry, flowers and other trinkets make the day.  Material gifts are nice, but imagine if they were accompanied by acts of love to show your appreciation for mom.  She said yes to life when you were conceived, and for some, the circumstances were difficult at best.  For others, mom came to you through adoption, when she lovingly chose you above the others.  Being a mother is the most underpaid, overworked, unappreciated, yet highly cherished job in the world.  Your mom will have a great Mother’s Day if what you do for her reflects this.  Let her know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that all her sacrifice and love poured into you was worth the effort.
