Birthday Videos

Lin was pregnant when diagnosed with terminal bone cancer.  The young woman was given the option of abortion, but instead chose life for her baby.  While in the hospital after the delivery of her daughter, Lin recorded a video message for her first birthday, but she didn’t stop there.  Lin recorded twenty-five birthday messages so each year her daughter could feel close to her mother until she reached adulthood.  In one video Lin said, “Mum will leave for a while to a particularly faraway place.  Be good, my baby.”  This gesture will mean the world to this little girl as she grows up to be a young woman the age of her mother when she died.  Perhaps God’s message to the rest of us is to regularly let our children know how much we love them.
