HBO produced a euthanasia propaganda piece. It’s disguised as a documentary but is almost completely one-sided. The host interviews various people suffering from debilitating illnesses who want to kill themselves—in most cases, surrounded by people who support the idea. More than once viewers hear the lament that only a few states in America have legal assisted suicide. The executive producer is extreme left Bill Maher. And Hollywood likes what it sees—giving the program multiple Emmy nominations. At the end is when a Dutch woman was euthanized in front of the cameras. She had no terminal illness; she suffered from a personality disorder. I give the program credit for admitting euthanasia has proven to be a slippery slope. We didn’t learn from history.
