Poland has laws protecting most of its unborn babies, but its citizens want to protect them all. Currently, babies can be aborted for rape, a handicapped child or for life or health of the mother. Citizens are collecting one-hundred-thousand signatures to get the legislature to pass a stronger law. Poland’s Prime Minister supports the citizen bill, and surprisingly, so does many of the media who signed an open letter to the legislature. In it they cited a famous midwife, who in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War Two risked her life defending and taking care of pregnant women and their babies. The letter also cited pressure from the European Union against this life-saving legislation. Please pray for the people of Poland and their lawmakers. Ask God to give them courage.
