Grieving Mother Euthanized

California is the most recent state to legalize assisted suicide for terminal people who have mere months to live and are in agonizing pain.  That’s how Belgium started their euthanasia program.  But just a few short years later they’re now euthanizing infants and children.  Most recently they euthanized a woman who was in good health but requested it only five minutes after learning her daughter died.  They honored her request and killed her.  Who wouldn’t feel like dying upon learning about the death of a child?  This was a heartless abandonment of a grieving woman, not a terminal patient in pain with months to live.  I oppose euthanasia on its face, but people sell it as a noble-sounding idea and then it quickly spreads into widespread killing—a deadly slippery slope.
