Across the nation, tens of thousands of high school prom celebrations have taken place. Sadly, it’s also a popular time for unexpected pregnancies. Lincoln High School in Wisconsin attempted to thwart the problem. Before the prom they put up posters promoting abstinence with a simple message to boys. It read, “A Night to Protect Her Character.” You and I would think it’s a fabulous, positive message at a time it’s needed most. Planned Parenthood didn’t agree. They went ballistic, calling the posters “despicable.” Imagine calling the message of abstinence despicable. Planned Parenthood’s strategy is to attack the messenger and did so in spades on social networks. The school caved instead of standing strong and took down the posters. I’d call that despicable.
