New STD Superbug

Bradley Mattes   |   May 20, 2013

Doctors are warning against what they call an emergency situation. There’s a new sexually-transmitted superbug they believe could be more deadly than AIDS. It’s a strain of gonorrhea HO41 and resistant to antibiotics. It was discovered in Japan two years ago in a female sex worker. HO41 is more deadly because the bacteria’s more aggressive and will quickly spread to more people. Gonorrhea can go undetected and this strain can cause septic shock and death in days. Health officials say you should practice safe sex. As Christians we practice safe sex by wearing protection called a wedding ring and by being faithful to our spouse. If we follow God’s will for our lives, we have much less to worry about. So there’s more urgency to tell others about Jesus.
