Hearing the Heartbeat

A young couple from my church is expecting their first baby and recently heard the heartbeat! I mentioned to the dad this probably makes the baby more real to him. He was quick to say yes and marveled at watching his baby turn and move on ultrasound. Then I said, image those moms and dads who’ve opted for abortion and then experience these marvels of life with a later pregnancy. His joyful face sobered and he quietly said, “It must be very painful.” And, he added, “Christians are the only ones where they can find hope and healing.” This young father understands now more than ever the importance of pro-life ministries, and said he’d be praying for my efforts. Please join him in praying for all pro-lifers and the parents facing unexpected pregnancies.
