Sixty-Nine Children

If you’re a mother, I’m sure your days are busy and full. But they probably aren’t as full as they were for a peasant woman in Russia. She set the record for the most babies birthed by one mother. According to Guinness World Records, she had 69 children. You heard right. Of course it helps she had more than one at a time. Her pregnancies include 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and—are you ready for this—four sets of quadruplets. It’s reported all but two of the children lived past infancy. I’ve never subscribed to Hillary Clinton’s opinion it takes a village to raise a child. In this case, the family was a village! Just imagine the generational legacy of this couple. Children truly are a gift from God and they were especially blessed.
