England has a surprising critic of abortion. Its British royalty. Lord Nicholas Windsor is the son of the Duke and Duchess of Kent and the queen’s cousin. He calls abortion a mortal wound in Europe’s heart. In a recent column, Lord Windsor pointed out the irony of Europe’s rights-conscious political and social environment. Yet they support abortion, which he calls one of the gravest and most egregious abuses of human rights ever tolerated. While a person 27th in line for the throne speaking out against abortion isn’t going to move mountains, it’s not bad. British subjects generally think highly of their royalty. It helps the cause for unborn babies there to have one of them speaking out against the tragedy of abortion and standing up for the most defenseless among them.
