Ohio was the first state to pass a law on partial-birth abortion. It paved the way for the federal ban and focused Americans on the unborn child. Now Ohio is again on the cutting edge. Pro-life legislators have introduced the Heartbeat Bill. It would prohibit abortion when the heartbeat of the unborn child is detected. This happens between 18 and 28 days after conception. The bill could be another game changer because it demonstrates the humanity of the unborn child early in pregnancy. Pro-abortion activists are terrified of the concept. A nine-week unborn baby will “testify” before an Ohio legislative committee by showing the child’s heartbeat with ultrasound. I’ll keep you posted on this brilliant strategy. It takes the window to the womb and flings it wide open.
