Choosing Life After Rape
One of the most frequent objections to an unplanned baby’s right to life is in the case of rape. Cases of unplanned pregnancies resulting from rape have been reported to be less than 1% of the abortions that take place today.
Kim Elliot chose life after rape. She was a virgin resisting the pressures of the casual sex happening all around her. As a young adult woman, challenged by friends one night to take a side on the abortion issue, she chose the side of life against their better judgment. Then they threw down the very undesirable circumstance of being raped. Kim still chose the life side again. Imagine less than a year later, Kim had actually been raped and pregnant.
